NRG eSports acquires CS:GO team

NRGNRGNRGNRG eSports is excited to announce the affiliation of our new CS:GO team for 2016.

This is a special moment for the entire NRG organization as we take the step forward to extend the NRG brand to the North American Counterstrike scene, said Chairman and Co-founder of NRG eSports, Andy Miller.  This partnership reflects NRG’s commitment to compete at the highest level of play with a passionate team of world-class professionals that we believe can live up to the high expectations of our rapidly growing fanbase.

With a combination of American and international talent, we will be looking to take the tournament circuit by storm.

Joining NRG from mousesports is a legend of CS 1.6, hailing from Germany with Turkish roots, we welcome Fatih “gob b” Dayik to the NRG squad! He will bring his vast knowledge and experience to NRG as our in-game leader. Dayik will captain our team to victory through our comms.

Next is another player from mousesports. A German talent with Serbian roots, he’ll be looking to bring his synergy with gob b to the stage under the NRG banner, we’re proud to introduce Nikola “LEGIJA” Ninic!

We also have two members from the American team, Method. First up is the American talent, Justin “Just9n” Ortiz! Along with him is another American talent, Samuel “Silent3m^v^” Portillo! These two players will work together both with each other and their teammates, allowing us to surge through the competition.

Finally, a player with experience on Luminosity and CLG, is Peter “ptr” Gurney, an experienced AWPer with a long history of offline tournaments. He ties the whole roster together and will be a strong asset to our team.

The team’s manager is Nebi “fnr” Serc, who has managed gob b for many years. His experience will allow him to lead our team effectively in the tournaments ahead of us. Joining him is our analyst, another former Method player, Zachary “Eley” Stauffer!

The team will be making its debut in the Last Chance Qualifier for MLG Columbus 2016 and they are currently undergoing practice and showing promising chemistry with one another. We are incredibly excited for the future and to show the world how our roster will perform against the challenges ahead of us. Please support the team and look forward to the future of NRG eSports.

“I am very happy to find a completely new home to continue my CS:GO career. I also feel very happy to be here in NA with people I really like. It’s quite familiar here and everyone is very talented in what they are doing. I know we have to practice a lot but I see a great future for me and my team. There is an awesome chemistry which results in an extremely motivated team.

It is a big new step in my life and I am looking forward to achieving big goals with my team and working with the rising star of eSports, NRG.”
