ANDY'S NOTE:

Can't believe it is already the last newsletter of 2025. As NRG heads into its 10th year (!), I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff, players, coaches and of course fans who make up the NRGFAM. We enter 2025 with rock solid teams (probably our best year ever across the board), some fantastic long term sponsor/partners, (spoiler alert) 3 BILLION views across NRG and Full Squad Gaming, and a very ambitious slate of new projects and properties for Full Squad. (We even have a couple more announcements up our sleeves before the year turns over!).

Have a wonderful holiday break and we will see you all in January when ALL of our teams will be back in action.

Best,
Andy

SOOP VALORANT LEAGUE CONQUERED!

The team got off to a dreadful start to our journey in Korea, kicked off by a bad case of food poisoning for a few of the guys, and a loss to Rapid Lo-Fi on opening day. NRG dug deep and quickly turned things around, going on to win their next 4 matches to claim the beautiful SOOP trophy and $25,000!

After losing to Rapid Lo-fi, we squared up vs. old rivals, Bilibili Gaming and finally got revenge for the two beatdowns they handed NRG at Champs 2023. Next up on the revenge tour was a rematch with Rapid Lo-Fi, and the boys made quick work of them to advance to the playoff stage where they would be matched up with Made in Thailand and another old rival, CGRS. Again, NRG took care of business and completed the trifecta of revenge games earning a berth in the grand finals vs. powerhouse Gen.G.

Entering the finals and underdogs, not many expected for NRG to even keep things close. Everyone was wrong, as the NRG boys went on to cleanly sweep the Korean side, 3-0, and it wasn’t even close! A huge win for NRG VALORANT, and the perfect way to cap off the off-season. The team will now rest up and prepare for the VCT season in January.

THE NEW NRG ROCKET LEAGUE

Things have been exceedingly quiet on the Rocket League front lately… but that’s about to change! Please welcome the newest additions to NRG! Our captain, GarrettG has handed over the keys to Beastmode, Daniel, Atomic and Coach Satthew.

Formerly of G2, this roster made the Grand Finals of every single RLCS event in 2024, finishing 2nd at the Copenhagen Major, 1st at the London Major, and 2nd at the World Championships. NRG is back and in a big way. This new era of NRG Rocket League will see a return to our former glory and we can’t wait to see them in action in January!

SHAQ IS BACK

The Full Squad team is spending their week in Texas filming with Shaquille O'Neal and putting final touches on the remaining content for 2024. With the recent launch of the Full Squad Girls channel and the continued success of our original Full Squad group, the team is on pace to cross 2B views for the year. Armed with Santa hats, presents, and tons of exciting guests, Full Squad content is full steam ahead into the new year.
