NRG DOMINATES SEN CITY CLASSIC
NRG VALORANT stole the show this weekend, going undefeated in their debut as a team. Starting off with victories over Evil Geniuses, Cloud9, and finally Sentinels to go 3-0 in the group stage, the boys earned the top seed and auto advanced to the Grand finals. On Sunday, NRG faced off once more vs. Sentinels, and it was a complete beatdown! NRG walked all over the hosts of the tourney, winning the series 2-0 (13-4 and 13-5), taking home the SEN City Classic title.
This was the absolute best start we could have hoped for with a brand new squad. With only 10 days of practice under their belts, the team looked extremely comfortable together and built some great momentum for the upcoming season. The community really rallied around our rookies, Verno and mada who had outstanding performances, and showed they have what it takes to compete at the international level. The impact of the new coaching staff was also very noticeable. The team played an aggressive, but disciplined style that was missing in prior iterations of the team. Veterans s0m, FNS, and ethan also played amazingly all weekend and showed this team is a real threat to win Major events this year. The future is extremely bright for NRG VALORANT.
