WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS... AGAIN! 🏆

VCT Opening Week! Reading WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS... AGAIN! 🏆 4 minutes Next WALL-TO-WALL WEEKEND

BACK ON TOP!

After 1,309 days, NRG Rocket League is back on top! NRG RL took home the Birmingham Major NA Open #1 tourney this past weekend, with impressive wins over SSG, Complexity and the Ultimates on Championship Sunday. The new era of NRG RL has arrived and we might just be better than ever.

It’s never easy coming into a new season as the #1 ranked team, but NRG did not miss a beat and started the year off as they were expected to. The trio of Atomic, Beastmode and Daniel have never finished worse than second in an RLCS event (EVER!), and it doesn’t seem like the streak is going to end anytime soon.

The victory puts NRG in a great position to qualify for the upcoming LAN in Birmingham, UK this coming March. The team is back in action starting February 2nd for the Swiss Stage of the NA Open #2 where we’ll look to clinch our spot at Birmingham.

BR0's BIG DEBUT

The br0 era is underway, and the early results are promising! NRG CS2 made quick work of Alter Iron and now sit at 2-0 in the early days of ECL Season 49. Next up we square off vs. LAG on January 22, Chill Guys on January 23, and Getting Info on the 24th. The team will grind through this weeks of ECL matches and then begin prepping for our European bootcamp and ESL Pro League appearance in Stockholm in February.

The true test for the new roster will be EPL where we’ll finally get a taste of International competition. NRG is currently ranked #30 globally, but a good showing at EPL would likely catapult us into the top 20 and move the team into position to get invites to most important events on the CS2 calendar.

BR0'S BIG DEBUT

Our Kickoff debut versus Cloud9 did not go as planned. Coming in as heavy favorites, NRG got off to incredibly slow starts on both maps and could not make up the ground in time. In Map 1, NRG roared back from a 2-10 deficit to tie the score at 12-12, before falling to C9 in overtime. Map 2 was a similar story, with the squad starting down 1-5. Again, NRG could not recover from and dropped the match with a 0-2 score.

Our next match is an elimination bout slated for Friday at 5:00 PM PST vs. 100 Thieves. Both teams have high expectations for 2025, but one will enter the weekend disappointed and out of contention for VCT Masters Bangkok.

Despite the tough road ahead, NRG VAL is very confident going into Friday. Be sure to tune-in and support the boys as we begin our familiar march through the lower bracket.

THE HITS KEEP COMING

Full Squad Gaming teamed up with Garrett Clark, one of the internet’s biggest golf creators and the face of Good Good, in their latest YouTube video. Nick and Mike were especially thrilled about this collaboration and have even more golf content planned for the year ahead.
