SHOCK WIN 2TH PLACE!!!!!
“We knew we would be good, but not this good," is what 2019 SF Shock main tank, Matthew ‘super’ Delisi, would say in an interview after the team lost in the Grand Finals of Stage 1 to the, at the time, unstoppable Vancouver Titans. Fast forward 5 years and the NRG Shock has found itself in the exact same position with another Canadian team, the Toronto Defiant. With the guiding hands of GM Albert ‘YeHHH’ and coach Wheats, the NRG Shock earned a spot in the OWCS Stage 3 Grand Finals by shocking the world with an INSANE Winners Finals reverse sweep of the Defiant. The boys ultimately fell short in the rematch, bowing respectfully as they finished in 2nd place in the first big tournament of the new era.

The NRG Apex team was in Germany this weekend competing in the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs. Nocturnal, FunFPS and Reptar scored some big highlight wins on days one and two, earning enough points to qualify directly for Championship Sunday. Things got nutty as the finals wore on and NRG found itself on match point along with a bunch of other teams slugging it out for that final victory to claim the tourney, but ultimately it was Space Station Gaming who secured the final round, and the big win.
