NRG STAYS ON TOP!
NRG Rocket League keeps on cruising. The squad had an impressive opening weekend of the Birmingham Major: NA Open 2. Atomic, Beastmode and Daniel, the new era of NRG RL, ended up playing and beating all three members of our previous, legendary NRG roster of GarrettG, Squishy and jstn on their way to a 3-0 weekend. The team will head into the top 16 as the #1 seed.

GGWP NRG APEX
The Apex Legends Global Series Year 4 has come to its conclusion, with GoNext Esports claiming the World Championship title in Sapporo. The NRG squad did not have their best showing, failing to make Championship Sunday in heartbreaking fashion. The team lost a tiebreaker, just missing out on advancing to the final round of play.
While the season has ended, ALGS Year 5 will be starting up very soon, and rostermania is in full swing. Roster lock for the preseason events is February 14th, so players and teams will be scrambling to make decisions. Stay tuned to NRG socials, as the team will likely be making some changes heading into Year 5 of the ALGS.
NRG VALORANT WILL BE BACK!
NRG VALORANT did not show up when they needed to this past weekend, dropping their set with KRÜ esports. Plagued by slow starts and lost advantages, the team almost clawed all the way back after being down 1-0 in maps and 1-8 in the second map. With heroics from Ethan and Mada, the team rattled off a huge comeback taking map 2, but ultimately faltered in map 3, dropping the series.
The loss means the team will not be qualifying for the VCT Masters event in Thailand. It’s time to regroup for the team and begin to look ahead to the start of Split 1 of the VCT season in March. Our sites are set on Masters Toronto and VCT Champs later this year!
