The NRG Shock had a massive weekend, going 2-0 in the first group stage of the returning OWCS regular season! Our big offseason roster changes paid off with our new tank player, Kellan, leading our squad to dominant wins over Tanuki Esports and TSM. The Shock’s team chemistry and lovable personalities have captivated the Overwatch community! In just two qualifier matches our fans went wild with a whirlwind of new community support and memes!
One Shock fan on twitter hilariously immortalized one of our team’s lowlights from the weekend, when TSM’s Lucio hit the first ever 1000HP Boop off of the Eichenwald bridge!
Another new Shock meme just dropped… After winning our second match of the weekend, our new player Attack posted this message in discord, celebrating our team securing ‘1TH’ place… prompting Shock fans to spam reply ‘1TH’ across SF Shock and Overwatch Esports twitter posts!

NRG CS2 PREPARES FOR THE BIG SHOW!
Things are about to get real for the NRG CS2 team as they prepare for the Regional Major Rankings (RMR) qualifiers! Nitr0, autimatic, Brehze, oSee and HexT are on their way to Frisco, Texas for an old fashioned CS2 bootcamp. The team is heading into the RMR with a ton of momentum having won 10 of their last 11 matches. The squad’s next match-up will be vs Akimbo August 26th, follow the action on our brand new CS2 Twitter page.

Bet you didn’t have NRG’s world famous Rocket League creator Musty teaming up with iconic footballer Neymar Jr. on your 2024 bingo card! On Tuesday of this week, in front of over 20K fans, Musty teamed with Neymar Jr. (who admittedly has never played Rocket League) in the Esports World Cup Celebrity Showdown. While Team Neymar Jr. fell short on the server, Musty had a chance to redeem himself and show off his soccer skills, keeping the ball up for 24 consecutive keepie uppies in front of a live audience just a few feet from the living legend! GOAT!
